Pin-Up Princess

My artistic mind is constantly running, I mean non-stop. It can get overwhelming with having these wonderfully beautiful ideas, yet my hand cannot work fast enough. But like everything else, practice makes perfect.

And not to forget to write down the idea, which leads to pieces of paper set in random places with some kind of cryptic vocabulary written on it like, tangled pj pin-up sleepyeyes.

Speaking of 'tangled pj pin-up sleepyeyes', a new collection has been brewing in this ole noggin. The Disney Princesses are the most amazing collection of girls, that represents young women from all over this beautiful globe we call home. The many faces, shapes, sizes and personalities of beauty. So my next collection is of the sexy women of Disney, some princesses, fairies and favorite characters all Pinned-Up to perfection.

The first that I have done, is of none-other-than Princess Rapunzel dressed in a sexy flowing night gown. She was created entirely with colored pencils. Perched upon her shoulder is adorable little chameleon, Paskel.

Here is some http://www.picmonkey.com/ play of Pin-Up Rapunzel!...

Remember, Pin-Up's exaggerate the beauty of the female assets. These women are not true to size.

The next Pin-Up Project is a duo, ooooooohh!! Comment to guess!!!

Etsy Shop Border Solution Success!

When I first began my online Etsy shop, Hallieodom, Lost In Wonderland (https://www.etsy.com/shop/hallieodom?ref=si_shop), I was very hesitant in allowing my shop to show character. Part of the reason being that darn banner...

They wanted me to download something onto my computer that never really worked out for me and always led me to quit trying. This left my shop without an identity for the longest... I'm talkin 2+ years. Until I discovered picmonkey.com. It's so easy and convenient!

Picmonkey.com allows me to pull pictures directly from my computer files, without making me download anything onto my computer. The site is completely online and FREE. WooHOO!

My picture of choice was part of a white daisy and red lady bug from a pair of shoes created for a client and a friend. When cropping my picture, I found it easier to put the size that I needed (760x100) and then look for the best picture within those parameters.

After playing with effects and shading, I added my text which is my shop's name and my name. I chose a BADA*S fony lettering, if I do say so myself, called Bleeding Cowboys.

And the end result...

I'm really happy with it!

My Intro Blog

This is a blogging artist's journey through Disney art in their own perspective. Here is where my cluster of ideas come together to recreate my childhood memories.

  • Take a look into future theme concepts, clothing and accessory lines, and fantasy ideas.

  • Watch the processes of my art come to life.

  • Buy previously made art, or customize something to be completely new.

With this ArT I ShArE with the world, my HeArT.
